CURRENT JOB OPENINGS

Join our amazing team

As an outreach of Horizon Presbyterian Church, our mission is to partner with parents to grow the heart, mind, and spirit of the whole child in a Christ-centered environment. Over the past 20 years, hundreds of 2- to 6-year-olds have deeply benefited from our programs. Not only are children ready for school after attending our program, but they also experience God’s love. We are a small, intimate, loving, nurturing Christian program. Relationships are key to everything we do. We teach children to develop a love of learning through play using the High/Scope Curriculum. We also teach children to develop a love of God by exposing them to Christianity, Chapel, and lessons from the Bible.

Stay and Play Teacher

We are currently looking to hire a part-time stay and play teacher.  The stay and play teacher is responsible for the planning and execution of an educational program in line with the Center’s educational goals and beliefs for children. They provide developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in all developmental domains. Stay and Play teachers are responsible for classroom management and the preparation of all lesson materials prior to class sessions. They must have knowledge of or be willing to learn about a child-centered learning environment. God’s Garden Preschool utilizes the High/Scope Curriculum, in which the focus is on active learning through play.

The stay and play teacher works cooperatively with all staff members in a warm, nurturing, family-oriented, Christian environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills and will have previous experience working in a preschool classroom. The stay and play teacher must be comfortable with working and collaborating with others and delegating responsibilities as needed.  The Stay and Play teacher must have or be willing to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card, Infant & Adult CPR and First Aid, Negative TB Test, High School or College Diploma, and a valid Driver’s License.
