Ones Program

About Our Ones Program
Our one-year-old program offers a nurturing environment where 12 - 24 month olds learn about God’s love, friendship, sharing, and becoming independent.
Our nursery is a warm, cozy, and inviting space where one-year-olds will feel right at home! Our exceptionally loving and nurturing teachers create a caring environment filled with music and movement, hands-on activities, and active exploration! From teaching basic skills like building and sorting, to introducing sign language, we focus on helping our toddlers thrive.
We help our one-year-olds make sense of the world through bonding, experimenting with toys and materials, exploring the classroom and outdoors, and engaging in role play and imaginative play in our classroom centers.
Our teachers help our students feel secure and important by creating strong, secure bonds that help them gain confidence so they can explore and learn.
We help our one-year-olds learn to engage in problem solving by sorting objects, doing puzzles, taking things apart and fitting them back together, and so much more! Teachers offer children a wide range of activities and experiences that inspire and challenge them throughout each day.
Our teachers help our one-year-olds develop and learn by:
- Asking questions to help them think deeply about what they're doing.
- Encouraging them when they face a challenge.
- Acknowledging their efforts when they try new things.
- Providing information so they can learn new skills, how things work, and about the world around them.
- Offering suggestions that help them try new things.
- Adding small challenges.
- Observing children to discover what they know and how they learn. Then using this information to extend learning.
- Documenting what toddlers are doing and saying through photographs, videos, notes, assessments, and recordings.
- Evaluating the information they collect about children to decide what experiences to give children next.
